At Narratech Laboratories we have launched the LIGHT & SOUND campaign to ask you to help us TRY OUR GAMES. For each project you try, filling out the corresponding questionnaire, you will win -in gratitude- a participation in the draw of a Steam key that we will celebrate very soon, with games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Call of the Sea, Moonlighter or The Longest Road on Earth.
Fear of the dark?
We just published OSCURO on Itch.io, a serious game to help people with nictophobia (fear of the dark) to overcome this uncomfortable situation. Download it for free and play it now on your Windows PC.
We’ve also recently released the Accessible Audio Toolkit (AAT) on Unity Assetstore, an audio accessibility tool for developers. We need you, as someone knowing anything else about this technology, to do now the following experiment: play Death Impact, a small PC game for Windows… without sound.
Simply follow the instructions in the questionnaire, from where you can download the game, to finally answer it properly. Randomly choose one and only one of these two options (flip a coin if you prefer), follow the corresponding link and do everything that the questionnaire asks for:
If you participate in both projects, you will have twice as many possibilities, but in each project you can only fill out 1 questionnaire per person. Do it BEFORE June 14th, 2021, not forgetting to give your email address and Steam account at the end, so we can contact you and give you the digital copy of a video game if it turns out it’s you win.
We will announce the winners right here on July 1, 2021.
In 2015 we already celebrated, with great success, this formative activity on Quality Control and Testing in Video Games. This year we return to the burden with more things to teach, games to try and expert guests who will teach us everything about QA and Game Testing. If you are students of the Faculty, sign up on the official form to get 1 ECTS credit!
The jury formed by Toni Guillem and Luis Miguel Ruano, as members of Electronic Arts, and Federico Peinado and Javier Cortés, as members of Narratech Laboratories, has finished their deliberation and on July 15, 2020 proceeded to proclaim the winners of the contest “Create your own video game against the Coronavirus!”, also launching public thanks to the community of testers who have helped these days to try our tools for video games.
As the winner of the contest and first qualifier in the ranking that the jury has issued we have round.droid which obtains Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (Origin PC) and FIFA 20 (PS4) as awards. Great job! 🙂
In second place we have manlop02 who also takes Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (Origin PC) and FIFA 20 (PS4).
The bronze medal is for rodrigodiegar who gets Battlefield V (Origin PC) and FIFA 20 (PS4)as rewards.
Finally, although they do not access the podium, the jury has also wanted to highlight the contributions of:
jorgemomartin that takes Battlefield V (Origin PC) and FIFA 20 (PS4).
miangelmoreno2, with Need for Speed Heat (Origin PC).
rbuzonurban also with Need for Speed Heat (Origin PC).
santigil009 with a digital copy of FIFA 20 (PS4).
Congratulations to the winners and thank you all so much help! 😀
At the general meeting of Narratech Laboratories held this July 1st, 2020, we have drawn the video games that we promised as a thank you to the community of testers who have helped all these days that the event has lasted to validate our video game tools.
Flight simulators are well-known training tools for pilots within the aerospace world. However, training of flight instructors themselves does not have similar tools.
The following video is a proof-of-concept of Pilot Trainers Simulator, a simulator software for PC in which we can put ourselves in the shoes of a flight instructor and both design the training and evaluate the performance of different virtual pilots.
If you have aeronautical and aircraft piloting knowledge, it would help us a lot that you, after viewing the video, answer this short questionnaire (in Spanish) BEFORE June 21st 2020 to give us your opinion.
If you have a Windows PC and a compatible Virtual Reality device (Rift, Rift S, Vive, etc.) with controllers for both hands… You’re in luck! 🙂
Take part in our little experiment on immersion and “feeling of presence” in virtual reality right now and you’ll enter the draw of what is arguably the best VR game ever, Half-Life: Alyx (one digital copy that we give you as a gift on the Steam account you prefer!).
All you have to do is to follow the instructions in our questionnaire, from where you can download the software to try (an Escape Room minigame that uses our NPC VR system), and then answer it properly.
Choose one and only one of these two options (throw a coin if you prefer), following the corresponding link and doing everything the questionnaire requires:
Important: To get the reward you must fill out 1 UNIQUE questionnaire per person (only 1 OPTION, never both) BEFORE June 26st, 2020, by entering your email address at the end, so we can contact you. We will release the winneron July 1st, 2020.
